Entry #61

When the warm winds of summer give way to those touched with the chill of the approaching winter, and All Hallow's Eve dawns with the ruddy glow of the Sanguine Moon. When the dried corn husks of the harvest rustle in the bare breezes giving the impression of passing forms amid the shadows of dry stalks that so recently bore their fruit. There are other harvests that go on during the Harvest Moon that are ill spoken of, even in well lit rooms and behind bolted doors and shutters. Tales of a lurking menace amid the darkness that walks as man by day, but blood hunter by night. Stalking through the rows and mazes of brittle and dried stalks, a low, predatory growl rising up from his throat as he tracks his hapless and helpless prey. A sudden rush of dead leaves. A shrill and piercing scream splitting the balmy night air. Then...silence - heavy, oppressive, final. The low snarls and growls of the predator savoring his victory. Finally a lone and chilling voice is raised to pay homage to the moon. It starts softly but builds to a crescendo that turns the spines of even the bravest of souls cold. The solitary howl of the victor...concealed sill in the shadows. Enticing the brave and foolish to track him to his lair. An invitation to follow the lupine path...and go in there...if you dare. ***** Rendered entirely in DAZ Studio 2.3, no postwork Between 5-6 hours work all total Night World Lycanthropos -- Luthbel The Beast Within pose -- Skyewolf Corn rows, furrows and, moon -- Gareee Mock's Punkins -- Mock Lighting and adjustments -- Yours Truly
