I tried to create a versatile, flexible, visually interesting (but not too busy) design that would pay homage to previous logo designs and the history of visual art with a bit of symbolism. The neoclassical draped arm and torch stand for the Promethean fire of creativity, with the flames evoking the archetypal paintbrush as well, while the honeybees are an ancient visual metaphor for a prosperous community. The background emblems drawn from Asia, Africa, and the Americas represent the international heritages of contemporary art and the fact of our present international digital society of visual artists. Renders were done in DAZ Studio and composited/postworked in Photoshop 4.1 on a Dell Vostro; the background marble texture was created with Spiral Graphics' Genetica texture editor.
