Entry #25

I didn't think I was going to post this in time. I've been really busy. How I made it. The model of the rover is made up 98% of lattices with the remanding 2% done with Wings 3D. All texture graphics were done using Photoshop PS2. I created the desired shapes for the rover lattices in the Terrain Editor. This Is how I achieve most of the shapes I use in my scenes. The Astronauts helmets and air pack were also made in the same way. Only in the case of there helmets, I used the lattices to make negative spaces. The Astronauts are the Apollo Maximus model which can be found for free on the internet. I posed them with DAZ 3D, using the DAZ tab in Bryce. I saved time and memory by setting out a lot of rocks and then rendered using the altitude mask. Again importing the rendered image into the Terrain Editor. So and there you have it a lot of rock that don't take up a lot of space. The hardest part was getting my Martian textures just right. that took the most time to create. I kept referring to Google Mars for the right look and feel. There is no post work other then my signature done to the scene. Hope you all like it.
