The GSS Bernard Reimann is now stranded in the Gliese system due to the failure of the Tesseract drive. A shuttle is sent down to investigate giant crystals on Gliese 581e, but more misfortune hits the landing crew as engine failure causes the craft to collide with one of the towering crystals. The craft plows into the mudlike terrain with the crew unhurt, but the shuttle will never take off again. Modeling in Bryce 6, except for the ruins by Baumgarten and Azer.
