Alone In The Dark Going to bed Alone in the dark Yet again Empty house Except for My body Aching yearning Wondering If I’ll ever be held again Lying there Thinking dreaming Of impossible dreams Lying there Sometimes tears Roll down my cheeks Then the sun Comes up And life is brighter And all is well In the world And I rejoice Simple banal Silly unlikely Perhaps Then night comes Again and I am Alone in the dark 2/28/09
