The Egyptians still apprecate their gold and geometry in the year 3000 but the pyramids are giantic and the smaller ones fly. They figured out what to do with all that sand.. make glass, so forests and gardens are cultivated in huge, environmentally controlled agrospheres. Likewise the hung cities are contained in similar spheres. The thousands of miles of metallic desert is interspersed with water caches. Its a shiny place to live. :)
