I start with a pencil sketch and then scan it into Photoshop CS2 to color and paint. This piece took me several days to complete. Often it is the research that adds to the time it takes to finish a KillerPumpkins piece. My inspiration comes from this. There is a legend that a pumpkin's candle must be blown out before midnight on Halloween night or it's soul would be released to wander into the night where it can create unspeakable horror to those it might encounter. Each Christmas season those aware of this phenomenon put out special wreaths to catch these souls and stop them at the door. My poem will hopefully explain the rest.
