Entry #31

"Instead of paying for a costume, Jehanne decided to borrow a mask from a kind neighbor." This is the last of about half a dozen attempts. The original idea was far more bloody, but then I thought - when I would borrow my neighbors face, would'nt I wash it first? Well: I would! Used applications: Poser7P, Hexagon, Argile, Corel PhotoPaint (X3). The workflow: base scene set up in P7P, the fleshmask modelled in Hexagon 2.5 with the base scene as reference, as well as the hair and all the little hooks and staples to keep the mask in place and prevent the protagonist from loosing her face. Some modeling refinements and the texturing for the fleshmask done in Argile, rendered in P7P using one IBL light and four spots. The 470 years old door in the background is obviously photo, taken on location at a nearby castle. The mounting was done in PhotoPaint X3. The original size is only 1600x1600 pixels, so the rendering took just about 15 minutes in P7P on an XP64 Quad machine @ 3,21 GHz. Totally invested some 45 hours. Hope you like it.
