Hello, my name is Frank McDuff. I'm a computer programmer at Stanford University. Recently, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I was devastated when I heard the news from my doctor. He advised me to stop my strenuous work and reduce the time that I spend on video games which includes a lot of problem-solving scenarios. Retirement is only a year or two away and I have saved enough money for the rest of my life. However, I was depressed that this sort of thing happened to me. I guess I shouldn't complain since I was blessed to live happy and healthy for almost seventy years. Everyday, I prayed to the Lord to heal me. It was my birthday two weeks ago and all I asked for my birthday gift was a miracle. Well, nothing changed until a few days ago, during Christmas Eve. When I went to bed that night, I did my usual prayer but I added another part in my ritual. I prayed to Santa. I figured that, although he's a fictional character, he brings joy to everyone which creates a positive energy. "Maybe, just maybe, this will work," I thought. However, the logical part of my brain says, "Are you crazy?" I may as well be crazy when I woke up from a deep sleep. When I opened my eyes, I saw bright lights that are a couple of feet away from my face. Even though the lights were bright, I can still see my surroundings. I was in some kind of medical room. Probably a room where doctors perform surgery based on the sharp instruments on the left and right sides of my bed. A few seconds later, two beings walk towards me. I froze as I realized that these beings are not humans. They are aliens. At least, that's what I conclude based on a few UFO hollywood movies that I've seen. I closed my eyes and hope that this is just a dream. When I opened my eyes again, I had a horrific feeling as one of the aliens stare and observe my face, just inches away from touching my forehead. I don't remember what happened after that. My guess is that that I fainted. The next memory that I have is when I woke up in my bedroom. The next day, Christmas day, I felt better than usual. I don't know why exactly. Maybe I just had a very good night rest. But, on my next appointment with my doctor, I received great news. When he examined me on how worse my situation is since the last time that I visit him, he was shocked at the results of the X-ray and MRI. My tumor seem to have disappeared. He had no explanation on how it could have happened. I'm not sure what happened either. I heard stories that aliens cure some people and maybe I became one of those people in my Christmas Eve experience. "Did Santa sent them to help me?" I chuckled at the though. Nonetheless, I'm happy that my problem was solved and this Christmas definitely ranks as my best Christmas day ever. ------------ Disclaimer: The preceding story is entirely fictional including the characters and the events. 526 words. Inspired by my love of UFO stories and the positive energy that Santa Claus give to everyone in the world. I haven't read or seen anything about both Santa and aliens in a story so I thought that I should write one and see if people love it.
