In Medieval Times, the superstitious peasents of Europe had some rather quaint traditions. One of them was the concept of the Sin Eater. The Sin Eater was a person who made a living, eating the sins of the departed. A family would hire them when a family member died, and lay out a large feast on the coffin or body of the dearly departed. The Sin Eater would then eat the feast, supposedly eating the sins of the departed in the process. This ensured that the dead would have a safe, happy and peaceful transition into the Afterlife. Here we see a modern day version of the Sin Eater. She seems a bit distracted though. Maybe doing the ceremony in this creepy old deserted cemetary was a bit more than even she could chew... Characters done in Poser 7 Pro using the V3 and SP3 base characters from Daz3D. Characters were then imported into Carrara 6 Pro where the remainder of the scene was assembled. A lot of custom models but also some freebies and non freebie props from too many sources to list. Final Render in C6 Pro, some postwork in PSP X. I hope you all enjoy it.
