As I partake of the recently deceased, my rotting brain recalls past holiday feasts, the ones I've had with my family and "friends", the ones I despised and thought would never end, with overcooked turkey and runny pumpkin pie, Uncle Fred's bad jokes and Aunt Aggie's crazy eye, Cousin Lenny's "fantastic deals", and the loudmouth Hendersons mooching a meal, and of course sister Suzie's halfdozen brats, nibbling their food like six little rats, it's odd though I miss those dinners gone by, with overdone turkey and runny pie, I miss it all even Uncle Fred, I miss it now that I dine with the dead.
