Summer in Australia is a time for fear as well as fun. With the bush fires enveloping many parts of our country I was moved to convey the incongruence of the Christmas spirit with the fear of bush fires threatening life and property. Thankfully the rains came in time and the fire fighters were able to go home for Christmas although the fires still threaten to rise again from the embers. This is Christmas in Australia 2006.
