Swedish Santa (Jultomten) The Swedish Santa doesn't have reindeers, doesn't fly and doesn't crawl down chimneys like the American Santa Claus. His sack of presents is pulled on a sleigh, by himself or by one or two goats. He will visit all children on the night of December 24th, always opening up the conversation by saying: "Finns det några snälla barn här?" ("Are there any nice children here?") And the father of the family will always miss out on meeting Santa, since he is so unfortunate to be out buying his evening paper - every year!
