Trapped: Closing her eyes, she takes two steps backward where she encounters a solid plain wall. She opens her eyes and slides against the wall to her right scooting her body down the length of it into a corner. She stands there quite for a few minutes listening to all around her. Silence, as she breathes in deeply, she shivers. The temperature in the room suddenly drops by ten degrees. She speaks out loud. Character #1: John, are you still here? Silence heard as she yells out louder into the room again. Character #1: Hey John! Are you still here? She hears a faint voice off to her right somewhere. Character # 2: Yes, I am here, what a place for the lights to go out in. Dang it, this is just my luck! The last place I wanted to die was in a morgue, but this is your job as mine now isn't it. Robbin, I knew this day would come I kept telling them upstairs this would happen sooner rather than later, but they kept saying you do your job Mr. Morgue Man and we will do ours. They sure did there job didn’t they Robbin. Now you and I are freaking trapped in here like a pair of rats in a test lab. He takes a deep breath his voice breaking up softer yet rattling as he speaks Character #2: Robbin, have you ever asked yourself why you do this kind of work? She crosses her arms over her chest to place her hands on the opposite arm as she grasp onto each of them covered by her lab jacket and begins to rub vigorously, she speaks out into the darkness. Character #1 John, stop talking foolish, where are you and why are you talking so low? Did you fall and hurt yourself when the lights went out? Character # 2: Squeals out an unusual deafening cry! Character # 1: Screams! Five minutes of silence pass by. Character # 2: Speaks softer but closer now. Character # 2: Are you afraid Robbin? Character # 1: Shifts her feet, and steps four normal steps in a diagonal direction to her right out into the room, then suddenly stops pivoting on he left foot she does a 90 degree angled turn to her left, and laughs out loud a hardy laugh then speaks back to the soft voice that is now right across from her by two of her large steps. Character # 1: John, tell me something are we done here playing your sissy games. Can you be serious for a moment and lets figure out how to get out of here, as it is seems not only are the lights out but this door is on automatic lock down for how long we do not know, as that is not the real problem of course we have been in that predicament before remember? The real problem here is not only is it pitch black in here but rather it is it is getting colder by the moment and we need to get out to survive. These other folks in here might not mind the cold, but I do and I know you do too, so are we done with this lets be strange in the dark locked morgue Robbin stuff of yours John? Character #2: Speaks Character #2: You never answered my questions. Character #1: Speaks Character #1: Ok if that will make you stop this nonsense and think of a way out of here with me. To your first one about have I ever asked myself why I work in a morgue? NO, I know why. Now to your second question am I afraid. No, I am not afraid of the dark, not of the locked door, or the fact there are no windows, and not of you, although yeah, I am afraid of the cold getting colder. Now are you happy? Character #2: Speaks Character #2: The cold is a problem true. As yes, I would love to figure out how to get out of here. Although before I do, I have one last question for you. Why are you not afraid of me Robbin, do you really know me? She feels an embrace upon her left cheek of a wet wide slimy long forked tongue slide up it. Her head quickly turns into the direction of the tongue just as it is releasing its grasp upon her face, her mouth opens and erects a set of large razor sharp canines, which latch onto the tongue she bites down on it biting it off, she spits it to the ground then drawls the canines back into her mouth and speaks. Character# 1 Seems you don't know me either John.
