Entry #127

Spring by Steve Pinchbeck I see a land of virgin green Tempered by nature’s hand of dreams I’m caught within a shard of time Thankful of this place that’s mine Dancing slivers of shimmering light The drifting blossom of brilliant white Tossed in a cool caressing breeze As it softly awakens slumbering trees Weariness feeds my bones I feel Through lasting journey by leathered heel So soft the grass it calls my name From head to toe it soothes my frame I close my eyes to dream awhile Leaves me sounds that make me smile Zipping bees from flowers they go Steadfast for their honey flow In cotton clouds the skylark sings Joyous of the song he brings One voice amongst a chorus fair Sweet music dances upon the air All the time I feel her touch The simple life that means so much The wonders Mother Nature brings As she creates new life that we call Spring
