Ahoy mateys!

It's time to set sail! Or start the engines! Or shovel some more coal into the fire! Whatever you do it's time to navigate the seven seas as we're going nautical! The challenge this time is brought to us by LesterJames and you are to create a scene with a ship. Wikipedia defines a ship as "a large watercraft capable of offshore navigation" so unfortunately that rules out spaceships but submarines are OK. The ship could be anything from real to imagined, historical, futuristic, or present day, just as long as water is its natural element.

The challenge involves modeling, texturing, lighting and rendering a scene of a ship and all Cinema plugins are OK to use, as are commercial textures. You need to do all the modeling yourself, however, so Poser characters are not allowed and neither are commercial models. Applications like Zbrush or Mudbox are allowed.

A couple of things to keep in mind
