The Terragen Planet Challenge

The Terragen Planet Challenge is open to all members and is about creating planets with Terragen.All entries must be submitted by midnight (Renderosity time) on Wednesday, June 6, 2007.

The Terragen Planet Challenge

The image must show one or more planets/moons/asteroids as seen from a high orbit in space. A space background is allowed but not necessary but keep in mind if you use a background it should be created with Terragen too, no postwork or the use of images allowed! The focus should be on the planet(s)! Only minimal postwork(resize/sharpen) is allowed. Click HERE for the Terragen Planet Challenge thread in the Forum and a more detailed explanation. Final entries must be done in Terragen 0.xx/TG2TP, either registered or unregistered. The contest is open to all Renderosity members All entries must be in the JPEG format Please keep the images to a maximum of 1024 pixels by 1024 pixels and not more than 200 KB Thumbnails must be no larger than 100 by 100 pixels The Challenge starts Wednesday, May 9, 2007 and ends on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Midnight Renderosity Time One image per person, feel free to post your WIP's in the forum for feedback Please do NOT add a signature to your render, the challenge is ANONYMOUS Do not post your entry in any gallery,until the challenge is over Good luck to every one.

Judging / Voting

  • Voting will take place in the Terragen Forum, after the close of the challenge and is open to all forum members.
  • Voting will begin on Thursday, June 7, 2007 and will close on Sunday, June 10, 2007 Midnight R'osity Time.
  • YOU MAY NOT VOTE FOR YOUR OWN IMAGE.
  • The use of "clone accounts" for votings is strictly forbidden.
  • In the voting thread you must give your top 3 picks, first,second, and third.
  • Scoring will be as follows, 5 points for 1st, 3 points for 2nd, and 1 point for 3rd.
  • The winners will be posted shortly after voting ends.
  • Announcement of the winners will take place in the Terragen Forum as well as on the contest page

Artists grant permission to Renderosity for the use of the submitted images for an undetermined period of time. This is strictly for posting the image on the front page and within the contest archives. The Artists will remain the intellectual property holder.
