Contest Theme:
In the Court of the Frog King

Frogs has always had a place in the folktales of mankind, from ancient China to Brothers Grimm. They have symbolized anything from the outcast to the noble, from the coward to the brave. In short: frogs are cool!

Renderosity is proud to present the In the Court of the Frog King contest for the CINEMA 4D forum! We want you show us your interpretation of this king and his court. The interpretation of the contest theme is pretty open and we encourage you to think outside the box and be creative. Does it have to be animals? No, not necessarily. It can be humanized cartoony frogs dressed in robes (think Shrek), or it can be a high-tech and futuristic or even alien court with frog-like elements. There has to be a court and there has to be a king but the rest is up to you!

You are of course free to draw inspiration from anywhere you want but avoid copying already existant illustrations. Inspired by is fine, but design your own court and king.

The goal is to create a complete scene and judges will consider all relevant factors: creativity, concept, modeling, texturing, lighting, etc. The final scene must contain at least one organic creature. You can focus your scene around this single character if you want but it must be placed in some sort of court and it should be one single image, not one image showing different POVs.

How to enter

Entering the contest is easy - you just upload your final entry on this page. You have to be a registered member with Renderosity.com (free) but there's no need to announce your participation anywhere, no need to start a thread in the forum or anything like that. As long as you upload your entry before deadline you're in.

A valuable tip is to submit your entry so that you will have time to make last minute corrections if needed. If you are uncertain about your approach in any way, if it will qualify or not, contact the contest managers and we'll help you (see bottom of page for contact info).

If you don't have a registered copy of CINEMA 4D you are allowed to use CINEMA 4D CE (free with several magazine CD's) or you can download a demo of R9.5 from the Maxon site.
