Writer's Forum Jan/Feb 2005: Role Reversal

Contest begins January 17, 2005 at 0001 Renderosity server time - and - ends February 21, 2005 at 0001 Renderosity server time. (Entries MUST be timestamped by the contest ending date/time.) All members and moderators can enter - except for nocturnecsh (December Challenge winner) and challenge manager. No sexual or extreme violence - stories/poems/images must be suitable for all audiences and abide by Renderosity's Terms of Service. Only one story/poem [either poem or short story] per member allowed (this includes member clones - that is, even if you have multiple accounts, only one entry per PERSON). By uploading your story/poem you are agreeing that this is your original work. Authors will remain the intellectual property holder of their entries.
Judging / Voting: The Official Voting Thread Voting will take place in the Writer's Forum in a special thread after the challenge closes. Voting is open to all Renderosity members, with the exception of the challenge manager. Only votes appearing within the Writer's Forum voting thread will count! Voting will begin at close of the challenge and will be open until Monday, February 28, 2005 at 8PM Renderosity time. First place winner picks the theme for the next month, subject to approval with the challenge manager(s). Announcement of winners will be in the Writer's Forum.

Submission Guidelines
Your story/poem must be based the montly challenge theme: Role Reversal. Tell us your tale in 1000 words or less. Ignore the 5 line limit on the box when you upload - that limit is only for "image contests" Double space between paragraphs. Type directly in the upload box or copy/paste from Notepad (or similar editing program). Copy/Pasting from complex word processing programs, such as MS Word, can change certain characters. If you use MS Word: Copy/Paste from Word into Notepad, then Copy/Paste into the contest upload box. Do not insert html formatingImage Submission
You may use your own image but must supply a matching thumbnail with your entry. Before uploading your text: right click on the following images and save to your hard drive. Rename the image: thumb.jpg or main.jpg|

3 points to the best story/poem,
2 points to the next best,
1 point to your third best choice.
Artists grant permission to Renderosity for the use of submitted stories/poems/images for an undetermined period of time. This is strictly for posting the image on the front page and within the contest archives. The Artist will remain the intellectual property holder.
