1)What is it? A digital art contest, with the Grand Prize being a FULL, BOXED version of VUE D'ESPRIT 4, to be supplied by E-on Software, 2nd Prize Winner will receive his/her CHOICE of any TWO models from SAMS3D, and 3rd Place Winner will receive an honorable mention on the Front Page at Renderosity. 2) Who is eligible to enter? Open to all registered Renderosity members except administrators and moderators of Renderosity. 3) When does it start? The contest will officially open on Wednesday, August 1, 2001. The contest will run for 4 weeks, and will end on Wednesday August 29, 2001. There will be a week given after the end of the contest, for members to nominate images for final judging, after which the judges will have one week to decide on a winner. 4) How will the winner be determined? A) Nominations for final voting to be made by the Renderosity Community Members. The top 5 highest voted entries get selected. In the event of a tie for one of the selections, judges will be called on to make a decision. B) The final voting will be made by a panel of five judges. After the members' nominations have been counted, judges will have one week to decide on a winner, and the winners will be announced on September 13, 2001. Rules, Regulations, and Further Information: 1) Static images ONLY. Images may be any size, but MUST NOT EXCEED a size of 640 pixels in width and 480 pixels in height. Images may be smaller, but must not exceed these guidelines. Images must not exceed 500 KB in file size. Images MUST be in .JPEG (.jpg) format ONLY. 2) All images MUST be made with the software, Vue d'Esprit, any version, up to and including any DEMO version of Vue 4 that may become available. 3) Entry images should have a signature of the artist somewhere in the image, but will not be held as a requirement. 4) All works must be your original works, and must have never been posted anywhere on the internet, prior to the contest, or during the contest. This includes any of the galleries in Renderosity. Contest entries will be allowed to be posted elsewhere after the final judging has been done and the winners have been selected. 5) You may enter only ONE image. Post work is allowed. Any additional entries will not be allowed. 6) Artists give permission to Renderosity and E-on Software for the use of the pictures for an undetermined period of time. The Artist will remain the intellectual property holder. 7) No Nudity. Think of this as a "family-oriented" contest. If you are uncertain as to what this means, please ask in the Vue d'Esprit forum here at Renderosity. 8) Imported models created in other programs will be allowed in the submitted images. 9) By entering this contest, I agree to all of the above guidelines and rules. I understand that the Contest Manager has the right to accept or decline any submitted images, based on these guidelines and rules.
