POSER 5 DEMYSTIFIED is the best, most effective training for Poser 5, the award-winning 3D-character animation tool for artists and animators from Curious Labs. Curious Labs, Inc produces and distributes the Poser line of products. In fact, a recent review in 3D World Magazine, concluded: "Poser Demystified is the most useful Poser tutorial product we've ever reviewed." POSER 5 DEMYSTIFIED is an entertaining, self-paced training video, and CD, presented in short, easy to digest lessons. DEMYSTIFIED reinforces mastery of each new skill through relevant and carefully structured activities and leans heavily on how and when to use Posers new tools. 2) Who will benefit from using POSER 5 DEMYSTIFIED? Anyone who wants to learn or improve their Poser 5 skills will find POSER 5 DEMYSTIFIED a good investment. This training is appropriate for anyone who wants to get up-to-speed quickly with Poser 5. DEMYSTIFIED is the training package of choice for anyone who wants to become more productive when using Poser 5 for professional or personal projects. 3) Will DEMYSTIFIED help MAC users? Absolutely! The difference between the Mac and Windows version on the tape are the keyboard equivalents: Ctrl on Windows = Command on the Mac Alt on Windows = Option on the Mac Simply use the corresponding key on your MAC when Ctrl or Alt is mentioned on the tape and you are golden. By the way, these keys aren't used frequently on the video so it shouldn't be an irritation. The only other difference concerns Acrobat Reader. POSER 5 DEMYSTIFIED was thoroughly checked for MAC compatibility by the Curious Lab's Beta Test Team and it passed with flying colors! 4) What about folks who have used a previous release of Poser or have never used Poser at all? Initially our goal was to design DEMYSTIFIED to help people make the huge leap from Poser 4 to 5. However, we have gotten excellent feedback from people that were new to Poser saying that this training has far exceeded their expectations. We're also told by folks that have used Poser 3 and/or 4 for years, that POSER 5 DEMYSTIFIED was "very worthwhile" "an excellent investment". The VHS instruction is 2-1/2 hours, however if you follow in lesson-order and complete every assignment you may spend a couple of days or longer, depending upon your knowledge base and time commitment. You also have the option to jump in, at any point, for information and insights to virtually all the new Poser 5 tools. Even if you're not experiencing a problem with Poser 5, DEMYSTIFIED can be used as a resource for in-depth insights and tips specific to the topic you selected. 6) Can I buy DEMYSTIFIED on DVD or CD rather than on video? Currently, POSER 5 DEMYSTIFIED is only available on VHS (choice of PAL or NTSC format) and comes with a mini-CD, as is stated on our Web site. We researched the pros and cons of DVD vs. VHS and found that our market has nearly 100% access to a VHS player; however, a much lower percentage has easy access to a DVD player. We also researched CD vs. Mpeg downloads vs. VHS and found the playback quality was much better, currently, with VHS. Video-based training, unlike classroom training, allows you to return to any lesson to refresh your knowledge or learn how to best complete a specific task. In addition, unlike textbook training limited by static descriptions, video allows you to see first-hand, exactly how to unleash Poser 5's power. Presenting instruction on video also offers the choice to watch and learn, or follow along on your computer. Lastly, it's entertaining. In addition to the 150-minute VHS tape, you'll find a 100 Mb mini-CD. You'll need these files to track along with the instruction and will be very useful as you learn to be proficient using new Poser 5 tools.
