Submission Deadlines Fast Approaching
Technical Papers & Courses Proposals Due On 12/13 May
Deadlines for Technical Papers and Courses submissions are getting close. Other deadlines are approaching from 5 June onwards.
SIGGRAPH Asia 2009 encourages you to submit your proposal. Be part of the buzz that's spreading through the international digital-media community about SIGGRAPH Asia 2009's world-class programs.
Important Submission Deadlines
The submission deadline for all programs is 23:59 GMT. All submission deadlines are strictly enforced, so plan ahead!
For individual programs' submission details, please click the respective program titles above.
Computer Animation Festival Special Call
Do you want to contribute your work to the SIGGRAPH Asia Computer Animation Festival, but you just don't have time to do a short film? Here's a quicker, easier (and maybe more fun) alternative.
SIGGRAPH Asia 2009 has adopted a robot as our unofficial mascot, and we're inviting members of the international SIGGRAPH community to create simple animations of this character. We have already created a rigged Maya 2008 model that's ready to animate. All you need to do is download the latest version of the model and create an about five seconds long animated action.
Click here for more details and some ideas to get it started.
We're hoping to use these animations in conference marketing materials, and as part of the title design for the SIGGRAPH Asia 2009 Computer Animation Festival.
The Sky Is The Limit - Massive Internet Connectivity
SIGGRAPH Asia 2009 will provide significantly higher bandwidth connectivity infrastructure than has ever been available at a previous SIGGRAPH conference. Ten Gigabits of Internet2 bandwidth will be available to presenters.
Consider how this resource might be used to enhance the presenter-attendee interaction, such as live streaming of visualizations from large servers, real-time collaboration with all audience members, or interaction of Emerging Technologies or Art Gallery works in different parts of the conference center or even all around the world.
A Note From SIGGRAPH Asia 2009 Conference Chair
"We are very excited to be part of the process as SIGGRAPH Asia 2009 takes its form. We have already received many interesting submissions for our programs and look forward to receive more in the next couple of weeks.
If you are an artist, educator, engineer, filmmaker, innovator, producer, researcher or scientist and have interesting ideas or recent research that will shape the future, please submit your works now. As a presenter at SIGGRAPH Asia 2009, you will be able to share all your wonderful innovative ideas with thousands of like-minded attendees.
We look forward to learning how your recent achievements are contributing to the pulse of innovation this December!"
