Another piece for a Tattoo company. This is a WIP over a 3 hour session. More work on the scales and fins are needed.

My instruction were to produce a Dragonfish based roughly on the sketch provided. I changed the tail fin to be a little more like that of a Cealacanth. (I think the original sketch was inspired by the prehistoric fish).

I thought you might like to see and have your artistic input.

ThanX for your time as always, Jet.

You did all that in three hours? Wow.

If you want to stick with the base drawning, except for the fin textures it looks pretty good. If you want to go for "realism" the thing's head isn't dynamic enough for a creature that is spending it's entire life in the water and really needs to be streamlined.

Gorgeous modeling work... but I'm afraid this doesn't look anything at all like that brute ugly fish ("Coelacanth"). This reminds me of something that you might find illustrated and gilded in to a Medieval map. You might want to google something like "deep sea fish" for more reference. Beautiful work. my friend!

LOL Moebius87 - it is suposed to look like the sketch that I was provided.
I just thought that it reminded me of the cealacanth body.... Primordial fins and all...

ThanX mate
