Who is 'prutzworks' and how did you come by this member name?

Prutzworks is the nickname of Martin Roes. I'm 55, living together with girlfriend Rosalie in the Netherlands. My profession is cook.

The name is inspired by the famous Lockheed secret airplane plant: "skunkworks" and prutz means, in dutch, something like "kit bashing."

How long have you been working with computer graphics?

I have been working in CG since 1997 when I read an article about Terragen in a computer magazine.

Do you have any traditional art experience?

Painting, especially watercolor, is a hobby of mine.

What are you currently working on?

At the moment, I have no idea for a project.

What software/equipment do you use and why?

I use Terragen, Mojoword, and for postwork, Photoshop and Ulead PhotoImpact. For panorama stitching, Ulead COOL 360.

Your Renderosity gallery not only holds some fantastic Mojoworld pieces, but also great Terragen work, as well as photography. Which do you enjoy most?

I enjoy all the three artforms.

What do you think your best piece of work is and why?

The render I like most is: "Magnetoshrooms #2." It reminds me of the beautiful black light posters from way back in the sixties.

Who, or what, inspires you, and how do you get your ideas?

My inspiration comes mainly from desert pictures from the National Geographic Magazine and Renderosity artist Armands.

How has this online community (Renderosity) enhanced your work, relationships, and learning?

At RR I have made a lot of friends, and I see plenty of inspiring artworks here.
