heya; i think its cool! the text should be in another rectangular window, though... the freeform black bubble background makes it look more kinda like a cartoon thought bubble, ya know? hmm... and maybe add a nice gun sight somewhere on the picture? :) maybe you coulda tried solarizing the pic... make it look like some weird vision mode... eh, i dunno. :) but its a cool idea.

the black bubble....yes, you're right I was going to have the text as a king of writing over a computer screen, but it just wasn't readable on the background, and because I'd chosen the wording to make the shape of the text fit in with the layout I didn't really want to put it into a box, although I guess I could have I actually did try playing around with the background image, or just a selected square around the dragon, but it tended to make it just look confusing I wasn't really thinking a gun sight, but some binocular shaped vision bubbles...but either way I couldn't think of a way to make it work convincingly. I guess with a gun sight I could have it aimed at one of the dragon scan pictures on the right to show they're aiming or maybe some sort of printout "sniper positions" then have highlighted points on the city buildings, but once again that'd probably make it more cluttered shrug What I really wish is that I could do this as an animation, have the dragon sitting there roaring or whatever and have the computer screens appearing and dissapearing as it shows different things, maybe with the screens going fuzzy for half a second or something thanks for the comments bloodsong =) SewerRat

heya; yeah, it looks as if the text would be just a hud on the whole picture, not in a window... but the background isnt dark enough for that. oh well. animated, huh? thatd be cool. sounds complicated. you go first. ;)

I'll give it a shot just as soon as I get something that'll let me put animated layers over each other any idea of software that'll do this? I know there's plenty around SewerRat
