Thank you litst, For the info you gave me about the tire. You're a wizard. You were right, it was a matter of making the cross sections not filled! Now I'm getting somewhere. Thanks kaom

litst, Isn't is amazing how we all learn in this world? It's something new everyday, sometimes your not even aware of it. Now for some lettering on the side of the tire, and I'll be rolling right along. By the way, I'm using a slightly modified version of your "Silvery" material from your Real World Metals on the wheel itself. I love those shaders, thanks for offering such a value to us, they are incredible. Now if I can just finish the car to put these on, I'll be set, but the car is taking way longer than I planned. Thanks, kaom

Kaom - Are you sure you've left quite enough room for writing on the side of the tire? It seems to me there's very much less height to your tire circumference than normal - though Im a New York City boy and don't know squat on tires... I should think though that there's more tire before all the hub stuff. Be mindful of proportion. Dave www.citizendave.com

3ddave44, This particu;at tire is a low profile sports car tire, like you'd find on a Porsche or a Ferrari type vehicle. The actual specs of this tire would be like a P-285/35VR/18" a very wide tire with a low sidewall height aspect ratio. O know it looks low, but there are tires like this on cars now. Also you would see a tire like this on a newer Corvette. You may be right about not enough room to apply writing on the side though, I'm haveing trouble with it right now. I'm going to try to use UV Mapper to do it, but I'm struggling with learning it right now. Thanks for the input. But I'm sure I'll figure something out, any suggestions would be welcome though. kaom
