It would be nice if we could have a sub forum but I don't know that Renderosity would be willing to do that...

 it's a shame we didn't get Dusk 2 (Mostly), Baby Luna 2, Hivewire Dragon and Hivewire Demon (based and inspired on Zygote demon), because the Hivewire forum shutdown, We hoping if release Dusk 2 early, that would be amazing. But for now We want Dusk 2

Hi, everyone! Glad to see you here. (Longtime lurker at Hivewire, and usually been lurking here too.)

I really did want to see Dusk 2.

Good to see everyone. By comparison, I was a frequent poster on Hivewire (once every year, compared to once every three or so on Rendo). Nice to know some of the same folks might be still gathering and contributing here. I went by Owlman over there. The feature I'll miss is the emoji response- sometimes  that's all you need.  

And agreed. I also wanted to see Dusk 2.

I second the others' motion about wanting to see Dusk 2. Is there still a *possibility* he'll make an appearance eventually? After all, Dawn 2 does need a male partner to tango with ... right?

Sure, Pen. Let's be greedy! We certainly can do as you suggested :-)
But I am also greedy to know what all the people around here have in mind and suggest. Maybe we'd better to brainstorm about the use of the 2 forums preferably in my thread (or at least in just one of the threads, so that we have a better idea of the various ideas)?

No, two threads that settle themselves naturally. Right now they're the same, but eventually someone will post a question in one thread, someone may post an image or ask a different kind of question. Let the threads just settle.

The threads will settle themselves, they always have. And do you know just how many casual conversation threads there were on HW? Last time I looked, there were many. How many threads with questions? Many. How many threads where they focus on posting images? Many. Give it time.

On another note I just found out that ALL plug-ins and scripts need to be updated to work with DS6.. yuck!  Glad I hung on to my 4.25 version...

Can't download and install manually with an exe file... won't install it.

Ah!  Gotcha.  Yes I noticed that too. I did install it but I doubt I will use it much anytime soon, except for maybe some testing. Ugh yeah complaining about anything there ends up being a pretty big waste of time...

These kind of things do settle themselves naturally? I think that when you leave things to themselves they go towards enthropy, not to something well-organized.
I've seen that happening also with whatsapp groups (and now I have been happily not using that app for years).
When whoever will post whatever, wherever, then it will be difficult to follow, remember and find posts; the threads will become an annoying place to be.

As one of the forums is yours, if you wish to say it's primarily for something(s) specific then that is up to you.

As for DS, I've uninstalled DIM and I'm using the last version with the original shader and Iray.

Someone asked about Dusk 2...I'm wondering if Cath is planning on releasing her male morph for Dawn 2. Hopefully she will find us here.

LOL yeah I think I have 5 or 6 different versions of DS 4 between my 2 Mac towers and my Mac laptop.  And at least 3 or 4 different versions of Poser:) I have a feeling DS6 is going to cause me a lot of headaches with all scripts and plug-ins having to be updated for it- including the free Look at my Hair player.. sigh... I need to note that on my LAMH products pages here.

That would be so cool if Cath can get her Dawn 2 products out for sale! Yeah hopefully she will find and join us here. I think I have a contact for her from back when we messed with some ideas on Harry a little.

I'll contact Cath, too, to let her know about this thread, in case she didn't see it back at HW.

Some more to think about...

2 threads are good but I think most of us would prefer to have a forum or subforum.

Does anyone know anything about setting up forums? I did a very simple one 10-15 years ago for my cohort from Uni using Simple Machines software which is free.

Another thought was maybe we could find another forum that is willing to host a sub forum? Maybe somewhere like Fantasie Attics where many of us are likely to already be members.

I would hate to think that the mission at Hivewire which was to unite the Poser and Daz community would be lost or for it to descend into wrangling over what we are going to do.

I hadn't put anything forward earlier as Cath said she had something in mind. 

Can we set up polls on Rendo and if so is it worth doing to give everyone a voice?

I worry that threads here disappear quickly because of the the way Renderosity's forums work...let me know your thoughts. I would rather we work this out together by cooperating and teamwork...if needed I'm quite happy to request that this thread be merged into the other one. I'm sure Red Phantom would be able to help us organise this.

I don't think there's a way to merge the 2 threads without the devs help. I can move one of these to the other forum if you want so they're together. I don't know if that will help with anything.

But a forum set up for Hivewarians would be better than the way these Rendo forums are structured. They are so hard to navigate and topics here just disappear into the interwebs..

While I understand, and agree with, the idea and desire to get a forum of our own here, I find that there is a problem.

Hivewire 3D is a Vendor here. So, if the old forums were given a new home here in their own sub-forum, they'd have to make such sub-forums available to all the vendors. As much as Renderosity might want to do it, it really isn't something they can afford to do.

Considering how quiet things can get in the forums here, maybe we should move in and wake the neighborhood up? At least until the trolls roll in and ruin it all.
