I'm using the "My Objects" folder in the content browser to save constantly-reused content. When I drag a content group in there, it does a "thumbnail render" and stores the object. Most of the time, this generated thumbnail is just fine and all is good. But occasionally, I'd rather the thumbnail "zoom in" on a particular facet of the object being saved, such as a face of a character being saved. The preview doesn't seem tied to any of the camera views in the scene I'm dragging the object from. How do you either a) change or override the thumbnail for that object, or b) indicate the view you want to show in the thumbnail?

You would need a program called "p3doexplorer". It will allow you to edit the .car file thumbnail (which is embedded in the .car, or cbr file). There is a free version of the software, but I believe you would need the Pro version to make such edits.

I have 8.5 Pro, so this is great advice! I'll check it out, thanks!

LOL! I didn't realize it, but ProPose was talking about the pro version of the UTILITY LOL! BTW, this looks like an indispensable tool for Carrara, Poser and Daz Studio content. I've finally downloaded the right version and will let you guys know how it works...

Personally I just use it for thumbnail creation, but yeah, it does so much more.

The "p3doexplorer" pro version absolutely did the trick! As mentioned, it has a lot of other stuff in there to help you manage your runtimes and scenes for Poser, Daz Studio and Carrara. Check it out. Nice steer ProPose001, thanks a lot for the great tip!
