This turned out better than I thought ... I'll put it in my gallery one day soon!

I didn't realize there was a Ford dealership across the street until after I'd taken the pictures.  :)

Farmer built circa 1942...found as part of a collection of old tractors in Lamar, Colorado.

In 1942 if you couldn't buy a new tractor, you could always go down to the junkyard and build your own with an eclectic collection of car/truck parts, some sheet metal, steel rods and a welding torch...

I am amazed!  Thanks for starting, Tara! Are those the latest green enviro-friendly recyclable Pick-ups?

I love all of the history here, hence the rusty car in the collage.  Thanks, Bill.

Feet are the most historic forms of transport, Mike, I am glad that you look after them so well while cycling!

Phew, I better get cracking on some too!

cfulton posted Sat, 01 June 2013 at 6:35 AM

Motorcycling used to be my passion, my two-wheeled mode of transport.

A few weeks ago I was fortunate to be a marshal for a run that the Harley-Davidson clubs of Cape Town held in order to collect blankets for the needy.

Needless to say I was there with my camera! The meeting point was at a hotel/casino which has a replica sailing ship in a moat around a castle.  A perfect backdrop for this shot and challenge.

Nice ride!!  I guess I should have taken a picture of the motorhome that was next to us.  He had a hydraulic lift platform on the back of the motorhome with a Harley on board, and was towing an SUV.  At the time it seemed to ordinary ...  ... ah well ... too late now!

Taken today at a Rest Stop going west on Interstate Highway 90 in the middle of Montana.

Used Photoshop's Glowing Edges filter...the parking lot was rather void of color...as were the vehicles...white, silver, black, grey and a little blue.

So, Helle, when you travel you do this with your sunscreen?
Using it as a flying carpet, then?

Anyway, I will look at the horizon, if I'll see someone:
or on a bicycle (Mike), an old tractor (Bill), or a brand new Harley Davidson(Clive).

But I do so hope to see that sunscreen arives!

Hoping for you all, for a soft landing, the weather is good at the moment :D

Great stuff, and I love the creative thinking!  The memory stick is a great interpretation, Helle.  Nicely done!  :)

Thumb up, all of you :)

dochtersions posted Wed, 19 June 2013 at 12:55 PM

This is shocking, LOL!

Today we did something crazy, in a XXL Albert Heijn supermarket.
Just daring, this rascal.
There was a very large cart that in the past used the baker for bread delivery (old tricycle) loaded with rolls in the shop.
Karel says to me: "sit on it, I'll take a picture".
And I did it.
Gee, that was a high saddle to be able to climb on.
But .... I went hoist myself by step on the pedals,
as that thing starts to ride, because the brake did not function.
We had a really great giggle,
while shopping people looked at me!
Because I cycled through the shop. LOL

What one all do, to go over what's hurting you, uh?
But it made me awfully good,
equally tasty go out of my cart (shall we say in this case!)

Who wants a hamburger bun, or a (pat over his/her) roll?
I'm coming, watch out people!!!

OH WOOOOOOOOOOW!! Dear Jacomina.

What a great joy seeing you doing fun stuff here and your wonderful smile warms up whole Renderosity :-)))  Thank you for sharing this :-))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

helanker posted Wed, 19 June 2013 at 1:30 PM

@ Jacomina -  It's great to see you having so much fun!  I bet everyone in the store enjoyed your ride.  :)

@ Helle - You'll have to give me hints about the other forms of transport in your shots!  I'm so distracted by the obvious that I can't think how you're thinking!  LOL!

dochtersions posted Thu, 20 June 2013 at 1:00 AM

THX Helle, Mike, and Tara!

@ Helle, what a beautiful and colorful shots!!!

The only things I can find are,
for the first picture: **the jerrycan**,
and for the second: **the drain pipe**.

**1**, in order to transport petrol. **2**, in order to transport water.

Am I right?

btw, I highly doubt about the green jerrycan on the first picture, because you see only a small piece of it, on the left.

helanker posted Thu, 20 June 2013 at 2:27 AM

OK, Tara and Jacomina. !!  Here goes:

In the first shot, you see a Funnel, which can transport fluits from a bigger container to a smaller container or bottle. Right? :-)))  And the Lawn mover, which transports Per all over the property :)

And the next one. You were right Jacomina. There was the trailer, but also the water pipe, which is used to transport the water from the roof to the ground LOL!

Just call me Crazy :-)

dochtersions posted Thu, 20 June 2013 at 4:30 AM

Hi dear crazy Helle, LOL!

Yes I indeed saw the Funnel, already with my first look.
But didn't guess, this could be your "crazy thinking" :D

My crazy head don't know what is a Lawn mover.
Are this that large white plastic bins?

btw, did I won something for being right with that water pipe, my friend?

For example, a bottle of holy Danish water?

helanker posted Thu, 20 June 2013 at 4:51 AM

HAHAHA Jacomina!   Maybe it is a wrong expression to call it a Lawn mover.... no it is the right word for a Grass cutter :)  It is cutting the grass. We have alot of grass on our property, so we need such one. The old Lawn mover, we bought together with my father many years back. It broke some years after my father passed away, so we bought this red one, but my nephew, who bought my parents summerhouse besides us, is also using it :-)

You won a Healing Cyper HUG from me.  HUG HUG !!! :DDDDDDDDDDDDD

dochtersions posted Thu, 20 June 2013 at 9:29 AM

Oh my,

This crazy girl can not wake up today, because of course I know what is a lawn mower. Although, at first glance I thought it was children's toys. :D (so Per is playing with it :))

Oh, and I am so very happy with my price, I will cherish it forever, and it will now be remembered every day, because since the day before yesterday the Danish Poppies bloom again in our garden.

Hip, hip hooray!

Thank you, for all your crazy stuff (as thinking )

dochtersions posted Thu, 20 June 2013 at 9:54 AM

Hi dear Friends,

On my second one you can see many transport.
And one don't need a license for it.
So if it gives you pleasure, you can choose a vehicle and take a ride, all for free.
(I just do hope you can get out of it again)

I'm going to use that blueone in front, so that is already occupied.

Photo taken with my bike, hahaha. (just kidding)
No, I was cycling along a kindergarten.

bye, bye.

helanker posted Thu, 20 June 2013 at 12:52 PM

OK. So I will take... the yellow one.. Atleast I can get THAT off again :))) But I cannot guarantee it will be intact, when first I have been sitting on it :P  Such fun and happy shot, Jacomina :)

Faemike55 posted Thu, 20 June 2013 at 4:21 PM

I want the green one!!!!

Nice capture Mies

auntietk posted Thu, 20 June 2013 at 11:05 PM

I saw the funnel, but chickened out mentioning it because I thought you would think I was crazy for seeing THAT, but not whatever else it was you wanted me to see!  LOL!  I should never second-guess.  On the second picture, though, I didn't get it.  I bow to Jacomina's superior thinking.  :)

Jacomina ... a lawn mower is the same as a lawn tractor.  It cuts the grass ... mows it down ... so:  a lawn mower.  :)

dochtersions posted Fri, 21 June 2013 at 1:23 AM

Ha, Tara, I've never been accused of superior thinking, thank you! LOL!!!
In the meanwhile I know all about, how people over the whole world gives their grass carpet a cutting turn

Hi friends:
It is noted: Helle yellow and Mike the green.

Oops, forgot to mention, the vehicles should be returned in their original state!
If you take into account that, please!

Nevertheless, I wish you both an enjoyable ride,
your superior thinking friend ♥ ♥

helanker posted Fri, 21 June 2013 at 9:31 AM

Well Tara, I was the Crazy one and Jacomina was crazy enough to figure it out too :)  And together with that, she wasnt a chicken LOL!  An extra healing Hug to Jacomina for her braveness :)  And for you a comforting hug for not winning :)

auntietk posted Fri, 21 June 2013 at 1:49 PM

I'll take the yellow giraffe.  :)

And next time I'll remember to not be such a chicken!  LOL!

And, dear Helle, I'm grateful for your healing hug.
I bet, you first drank of that healing water from that particular drainpipe 🆒

En die close-up van de chevrolet is fantastisch.

Wat a very nice car you are showing us, Martin.

And I love the close-up of the Chevrolet.

dochtersions posted Tue, 25 June 2013 at 1:38 PM

Hi Friends,

I had bad luck with my yellow plane.
Luckily I was saved by the forest police.

Now I have an offense notification to fly too shaggy, and because I did not stop for the red signal.
But I had an excuse for that. I said, "I thought that big red light, it was just the sun".

auntietk posted Tue, 25 June 2013 at 1:53 PM

Oh Jacomina, it sounds like you did a great job talking yourself out of that one!  LOL!  :)

Re: the Chevrolet ... Bill says it's about a 1959 Cadillac, but for sure a Cadillac.  That's a VERY nice car!

It was difficult to make a choice. Cause I've lots more photos to transport. But I do it old fashioned now, with posting these Baby Stroller. Sleep tight, my baby, it is not you who are rusty, only the carriage.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend!

This is in our street.

For July the challenge is Monochrome.

Thanks again and see you all there!
