With the sale price for Basics being so low, I'd be interested if it offered almost anything additional to C5 - different content, less demanding on the computer if you're only rendering simple scenes, etc.
What's the feeling amongst people who've got both?

Basics is a bit like Carrara2 was. You wont gain ny advantage by buying.

It's cheap. It would be totally legal to install on a laptop for quick-and-dirty use on the road. It might end up with some sexy upgrade or sidegrade offer in the future. BTW, when are you going to model Gormanghast? Or are your efforts confined to burning it down one library at a time? :)

If you are a collector of old Eovia memorabilia, I'd say go for it.
