Attached Link: V4 thread
DAZ just moved the V4 "Plat Club Preview published Artist V4 images" thread to the commoms. Coldrakethefixer posted Thu, 07 December 2006 at 1:47 PM
Thanx for the link!
Maybe I'm missing something; while she looks fairly nice, some nice textures there, I don't really see anything [YET] to make me rush out and buy her!
There's nothing there [THAT I CAN SEE YET] that I can't get with a V3 like GND2 or Kielo2!
Also it seems that yet again they have not gone for anatomically correct in the lower regions!
I don't understand that thinking, we can have tits but no Vag!! Eh!
Of course it's hard to say from a few renders and things may be different when she actually gets here to use and people actually start to say how and why she's worth getting!
The new Poser7 figures might just be better!!
Injustice will be avenged.

thefixer .. I think she is fine down below so to speak. She might even be like V3 with the gen crease options (which is fine by me) but other than that displacement is a better option than hard modeled stuff since everyone is a bit different down there and it can also be smoothed for those times you don't need to see how you were born ;)

Dang, for "showcase images" I have to say I only like Luthbel's. I like most of the skin textures but the eyes seem ... I dunno, really fake looking, maybe I am just too used to CG eyes lately or something.

Looks like they fixed old "noodle-shoulders".
And the facial expressions are significantly better.
That's enough for me.

Crap! I've lost my password in the last crash. Can someone just post the pics up here?
The privates won't be possible until the mil figures get rezoned or, get the buttocks removed like "Apollo". This way the leg rotations don't destroy the hip mesh. Maybe V5...

Wow what a change from 'ol V3. She's got a younger look to her over past Vickies. Interesting thanks for the thread link.
bopperthijs posted Thu, 07 December 2006 at 3:04 PM
Well I think I'll buy her anyway cause there was also a picture with poses and I really liked that: It looks like DAZ has done their very ****ing best to solve the most disliked problems with the joints: to me the shoulders, elbows, buttocks and knees look rather natural.
She only have to stay naked till next month, which won't much of a problem and otherwise we have the old trusted wardrobewizard.
Wonder how she look in Poser7...

Can V3 clothes be worn on V4? If not, I'll wait a year to see what happens.

There seems to be a V3 for V4 version, like there was a V2 for V3, with which you can use V3 clothes.

the hip-bending on that daisy may thing is rather awful IMVHO however, I suspect non-pros did the images, as the first few all had nostril glow and other newbie errors. it's 2006, not 1996, high time they learnt how to do simple shadows.

From eyeballing V4's proportions, I strongly suspect V3 conforming clothes won't fit her without a separate morph (which I'm sure won't be free) - and then, I don't see allllll that much point in buying a whole new figure just to make it shaped exactly like the last version. I'm not too badly in a hole here since I don't have very much in the way of conforming clothes, though, I have mostly stuck with dynamics.

dphoadley it is really nice of you to do what you are doing, but, and don't take this the wrong way, there is no need to advertise in every thread. I hope you don't take that as me tring to be mean, I'm not. It's just starting to turn into spam.
sorry. I'm a baaaaddd boooyyyy.

Wardrobe and Wizard
Why do people still try to contend with the clothes thang when there is a perfectly reasonable, fairly affordable, and totally practical way to transfer conforming clothes from any figure to any other (and there's a long list of supported figures - V4 will be supported).
Screw morphs and scaling and V4-V3 proportionalities. Get WW and USE it! ;)

*This has been explained for the past few months. There will be a V4/V3 version included that will be cut the same as V3 to use V3 conforming clothes. The same thing was done with the V3/V2.![]()
I am stil waiting for V4 so I can model my own stuff. I didn't see much that interested me. Boy, did they jump on me for saying that at Daz.![]()

From a couple of the previews, it looks like they might have done something about her thigh bending problem, although most of the character packages they're showing have that "same face" look.
And it almost looks like big lips is part of that same face.

Explain to me your definition of SPAM, especially in light of the fact that my post had direct bearing on the issue of this thread.

Thanks for clarifying that, I'm a noob and never saw the transition last time around, although it makes perfect sense that they'd do it that way.

*I see the image is gone now. I have seen in almost every thread I have read, your generous offers. In this one, what has it got to do with V4? Like I said, they are very nice.

The imagae ISN'T gone, it was never posted in this threa, because it was superflous to message. All I said (or at least implied), was that for those dissatisfied wit what they've seen of V4 so far, that there is a third option besides staying with stock V3, or unknown quantity of V4. I genuinely fail how that constitutes spam.
In light of the fate of Stahlratte, such accusations as such as spamming should only be leveled after dire consideration as to their possible ramifications.

OK this has gone way to far off topic, dragging the fate of someone into this now is just not cool. I won't bother with this anymore. Other sites to read. Later.

Sadly so far I'm a little underwhelmed by V4 to me she's not that much better looking than V3, but as the old saying goes, the proof of the pudding is in the eating.
