Looks great! I might have to break the budjet and pick up Poser so I can work with the dynamic clothes and hair for import into C! ;)

I also want to upgrade to Poser6, from 4, but now they don't seem to let ya have both platforms... I've always enjoyed having the ability to move : ) it from platform to platform when needed. Also, I'm primarily on a Mac. Is Poser6 stable on a Mac? and does it allow all the new features - dynamic clothes, hair, and the photo - face mapper? r

Hi Ringo, Just how light of a touch of SSS did you use on the skin? Looks great. Stan

Hi, Thanks everyone. Stan. I'm going from memory here as I left the file at work. But I reduced it to 35% and translucency to 15 or 20% and color is a bit more red than the skin color so that the skin will have a nice glow to it. The skin has a bump and highlight map and dynamic hair. Ringo

It really picks up a nice 'sheen' along the forehead. I also like how it takes the light diferently where it passes through the glasses onto her cheeks as opposed to directly on the cheeks.

Don't forget to do her eyeballs (white part). Things then really start to look incredible.

Nice renders Ringo! Word of warning to bluetone and anyone here thinking of picking up Poser purely to work with Carrara. Save yourself some money by getting Poser 5 (It's available on Purplus.com, for example), rather than 6. Carrara's Transposer 2 plugin won't work with P6 (E-frontier seem to be unwilling to let Eovia have the SDK to update it), so the best option for dynamic cloth and hair is a Carrara/TP2/Poser 5 combo. I pre-ordered P6 before I knew this would be a problem, and it's largely sat unused on my PC. In some cases I've heard of people having problems getting P5 files into Carrara after installing P6. (Fortunately I've just found a use for P6 - the rather wonderful PoserPhysics ragdoll plugin - but I still have to go round the houses to get my stuff into Carrara). Of course if you don't need dynamic cloth or hair, then C5 now has native poser figure import so you can buy your figures separately and not worry about Poser at all!

I got Poser 6. It sits on my shelf, too. I'd use it for rendering though if I didn't have Carrara. I've kept Poser 5 on my drive in case I decide to use TransPoser 2. I mostly make my own humans in OBJ format for import into Carrara now in Amapi or Hexagon. Jessi might look better if rendered in Poser 6. It understands her textures better than Carrara does.
