Hi,
I have a small request for next version.
Tablet PC and Wacom tablet friendly interface to eliminate use of keyboard for productivity.
Flexible display setting to eliminate dual display. Some Tablet PC have its own unique display size that may cause Carrara to think that it is dual display. Please fix it.
Improve vertex modeling room with beazer curve and symmeterical mouse pointers with a input box in property for user to put any number of mirrors. It is workable if you know the polygon database system. I want to be able to apply beazer curve on any polygon on the model. Message me if you need any help with this.
Improve tesselate with editor and library for productivity.
Thank you

GWeb, It is actually a good idea to post things like this for the development team...I hope they are listening. Here are my requests: Real particle system that collides with any/all items in scene F-Curve / Graph Editor Eliminate the rooms and instead use tabs Real character animation tools Better modeller without having to buy Hexagon Displacement texturing without plug-in What's everyone else's ideas?

My other request is Visual Basic Application for extensions. So many plug-in developer may make several more plug ins. It would push Carrara to outer limit.

Preview in all rooms not just in texture room.
jtbullet posted Fri, 05 August 2005 at 2:32 PM
maybe lose the seperate modelling rooms and make a new hexagon for a replacement.
steama posted Fri, 05 August 2005 at 5:07 PM
lose the separate modelling rooms? I vote NO unless the spline modeler was included in the "new Hexagon".

Well I vote 3D beazer curve tool to be able to put on any polygons with symmeterical function I proposed. You probably won't need spline modeler for it.

I'd like to see character animation similar to Poser, where walk cycles and poses can be saved to a skeleton armed figure... not sure how it would be done, but it sure is easy in Poser. And why not some basic skeletons, pre-made for human, quadropeds, etc. that already have joints set, all we need to do is adjust length and size for models. This is something we could share in this group. I'd like to be able to adjust the sky angle (real sky) so that it tilts with or doesn't tilk as I move camera. And we could adjust the horizon line, or offer no horizon. I like Carrara, and what it has done over the years. I'm still fighting the character animation tools - the IK works well for feet, but hands are a different story. : )
Never Give Up!

if you have functions requested for Carrara, please, use the Eovia3D.net forum. This is a specific section that Eovia Developpment team are looking. http://www.eovia3d.net/forumdisplay.php?f=3GWeb posted Mon, 08 August 2005 at 3:22 AM
Is it an official site for Eovia development team to review wish list? If you do not mind tell us who you are? Some of us are wondering if you are representing Eovia.

Totyo, Thanks for the info. I did not know there was a specific forum for this stuff.

Yes, he is a representative of Eovia. Totyo is none other than "THOMAS" from Eovia Europe. He is the one that handles the Eovia website does all those wonderful animations/demos of Carrara and all the hexagon ones . Including all the mov files for Hexagons manual. Eovia3D.net is part of Eovia so post your function requests over there. Later Ringo
