Yow. Care to share your trick on these? Last time I made a gear, I cheated and created it in c4D then did the extruding in Carrara.

These gears are rather brute force made. Each one of the "supports" between the center of the gear and the edge ring of the gear are a separate piece. Each tooth is a separate piece. There is a center piece. There is an outer ring piece. It takes about 10 minutes to make one using duplication. -Kix
