Is there something I'm missing on the use of pipeline geometry? mine seems a little wacky. Like definitely not wysiwyg as shown in side grids.would almost model in seperate pieces...and sometimes DO. thx jangledsailor_ed posted Sat, 27 November 2004 at 5:19 AM
I don't understand the link you provided so I can only guess what your problem is. One thing that always tricks me about pipline geometry is that you must center your cross section first or you will get funny results.

yep.. center your first cross section... also, I've noticed (and I reserve the right to be entirely wrong about this) that pipeline extrusion seems to requires more points along the curve than translation in order to look 'right'.

One thing that can hit you is when you pull out the control handles on a spline point, you have to pull in the right direction. Otherwise you get a little knot in the mesh.
