I just added the MacOsX version of Baker and Replica online (for both Carrara 3 and 4). They can be downloaded here: www.inagoni.com Baker is a texture baking tool. Using the UV mapping of an object, it can extract texture maps, light maps and normal maps from any Carrara shader. Replica clones objects in arrays or on existing surfaces, and each clone can have a randomized or controlled position, scaling, orientation or even shading.TOXE posted Thu, 18 November 2004 at 2:01 AM
Great!

Replica is excellent... I've been playing with it this afternoon. I was able to take an object - animate it and move it forward - then promote it to a Master Object and when I used Replica I had a full army of the same object all doing the same animation! Awesome. Chuck

If you've got some image or animation you can show, I'd like to it.

Here's a very quick little test that I did with Replica yesterday... nothing fancy and the animation is brutal, but it showed me that Replica could do what I needed it to do... duplicate or "Replicate" an animated object.Chuck

Looks great! That start giving me all KINDS of ideas! Can Replica make changes to the animation like it can change shaders and sizes and rotations? PLEASE julian? :D
