Working again on a plug-in for the shareware game Escape Velocity. http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/games/evo/ This'll be a mid-sized cargo ship in the "Mac" territories. My sketch was more like a segmented bug but this is what came out. Well, considering 98% of what gets seen is a top-down, pre-rendered sprite... Needs a few spiky things around the front, and I want to look into the fresnel shader. One distant light and GI, and setting up the animation for the sprite was a breeze. I LIKE rendering in Carrara!
