I recently bought XFrog, and recently did the Norse Spruce tutorial. It uses a texture map for the needles. In XFrog it looks pretty good. I can't seem to import the model into any other app, Vue D'Esprit or Carrara, without getting the needles being squares. In Carrara, I went into the texture editor and made sure that white was invisible on the texture map; and made sure the background was indeed pure white. I would of thought that should of worked. Any ideas?

black is the invisible colour in Carrara... you're probably going to need a layers list shader and do a transparency on the pine needles material. I have a needle transparency that I use in Carrara on the fir tree in Tree druid... I think I posted the shader before... let me look and if its not here, I'll post it again.
