I hadn't had a chance to think about or look into your other suggestions, but I'm quite pleased (and relieved) to see the forehead lumps go away - cool beans (at the same time, that should have been obvious - I'm finding it hard to believe that it didn't occur to me :lol:  ).

The only other comment at this point is... I might be missing something, but I can't think of ANY case where it would be preferable to disable the dot-check on those normals (do you know of any?) - I'm all for options, but only if it's benificial as an option.
