FaceShop: A new tool uses AI for sketching faces. A research team has devised a sketch-based editing framework that enables a user to edit their social media photos by “sketching” a few strokes on top of them. The team will present its findings at Siggraph this coming August in Vancouver.

Dozens of great speakers and compelling panel discussions on computer graphics and the future/past of digital culture are featured in free on-demand video.

Speaking of Siggraph another team is present their new method to enable high quality speech separation. This is a unique audio-visual model for isolating and enhancing the speech of desired speakers in a video. Researchers are looking at ways to develop the technology for Google products.
