The Renderosity MarketPlace now offers DAZ Studio content!

February 26, 2007 10:59 am

Renderosity is very excited to be able to offer our members DAZ Studio content within the Renderosity MarketPlace. Renderosity already has a DAZ Studio discussion forum, art gallery and free stuff section. The next natural progression was to provide MarketPlace content. Artists can easily locate MarketPlace items that are supported in DAZ Studio by looking at the "Product Requirements:" field on each items description page. If the item your interested in is supported by the vendor in DAZ Studio it will be listed in this field. These items are located in the "Poser or DAZ Studio" MarketPlace department. We hope the community will enjoy the ability to purchase DAZ Studio supported items directly from Renderosity. Make sure you stop into the "Poser or DAZ Studio" department today to check out all the great items available.

This is excellent news! Not knowing whether an item will work correctly in DAZ|Studio has been a concern in the past.

Well its about dang time! Daz is a major heavyweight, this is loooong overdue! I don't know who's BRIGHT idea it was, but thank goodness someone said, "DUH - Hey, you think we aught'ah maybe make Daz stuff available here, maybe, huh?!"

This is thrilling! I had bought content that I meant to use in DS (Liltsure Hair) only to discover that it would not work! I am excited about this development!

Well thats great but I also use daz and have a tip for all that do, if you make seperate poser folders that point to DazStudio, you can use all the poser 4 and 5 content without putting it into Daz, I found this out becuase I was fed up with Daz not letting content work properly in its Heirachy. For some reason some Poser content will render and some will not, to get around this just make a new poser folder, point Daz to It, Voila, and your in business :)

Most items work perfectly fine in my Poser 6 and Daz either way. Daz will even pick up your Poser folders if you tell it to or any other directory you wish it to. But I install separately to prevent file problems since I have a large hard drive which does eat up more space. Litsure Hair works fine in D|S but you have to install the morphs and you have to play with it. I have used it many times. (note to geefal above) For some reason hair head morphs seems to be on the neck setting instead of the heads sometimes.

There stuff is pretty much on the high side of prices unless your a Payed Daz member. I do 99% of my shopping because its cheaper, and IMO better quality Products.

Great NEWS.

That's what I have been waiting for. It makes purchasing much easier for those of us who use D|S exclusively. (BTW, I have Poser 5 and I can't stand it. Love D|S, though.)

wow Thank you...

Hmm, I think this needs a bit more work, TrekkieGrrrl's "Pedro" is listed under the DAZ section and the write-up says, in very big letters, that it won't work! So who really knows about the rest!

Good plan if it's labled consistantly. Used Poser for 4 years then dumped it for DAZ Studio and have never looked back. This is GREAT News!! Thanks Rendo :-)
