Mirye Software and E Frontier announce the forthcoming Shade 13, the complete modeling, rendering and animation solution for Windows and Mac OS X.
Shade 13 is available through the Shade X early release program. Shade X combines beta and early release and is available for the same price as upgrading to the most recent version of Shade. Participants get early access to beta releases of the initial release of Shade 13, and can also participate in the early access private community during the lifecycle of Shade 13.x. Shade X participants can interact directly with Shade engineers. Previous iterations of Shade X resulted in additional features added at customer request. Purchasing Shade X also indicates agreement to the Mirye Non Disclosure Agreement for anything released through early access.
Shade 13 feature set will be featured in Shade Live Seminars, live presentations offered on Ustream and Facebook at the Shade page at http://www.facebook.com/shade3d.
As revealed on Shade Live Seminar 10, three new features include advanced irradiance caching, real time gamma correction, and a physical sky model that mimics sunlight effects based on real world locations. Additional features will be revealed in forthcoming Shade Live Seminars.
The current version of Shade is Shade 12, which broke new ground with a completely new and updated user interface. Any who purchased Shade 12 after April 6, 2012 will automatically receive a free upgrade to Shade 13 when it is released.
Shade is available in three versions: Basic, Standard and Professional. Shade Basic is $99 and provides a complete modeling and rendering tool set; It is available through the Mirye Software store and the Mac App Store. Shade Standard and Professional are available directly through Mirye Software and through reseller partners, and cost $349 and $749. Each version provides higher resolution and enhanced rendering options (even Shade Basic includes Radiosity), as well as additional features for workflow integration with other products. 32 and 64 bit versions are available for Windows and Mac OS X.
Participants in the Shade X program can gain access to the pre-release version of Shade 13 from Monday, April 9, 2012. The release version of Shade 13 will ship in early summer, 2012.
