The second part of this tutorial is about BVH file loading and retargeting, and usage of the GETSELL function for uncommon hierarchies.
This is a simple tutorial for people willing to use BVH motion capture files within LIGHTWAVE 11.6 with GENOMA rigging system and the NEVRON MOTION plug-in.The first part of the tutorial deals with the preparation of the character to animate (weight mapping and skelegons).
This revisits an old technique which used a second object to "fill in" the cutaway area. In this version I use nodes to color the back sides of polygons to make it look like the mesh is filled in when really it's just hollow. It's a fake effect and it has some limitations, but it might do what you need it to do.
Wanting to move points in modeler along a line with no deviation? Wanting to scale a polygon while keeping it's angle perfect? Well I wanted to introduce all, who don't know about it, to the Translate Plus Tool. Stick around because it COULD make your life a little easier and keep your models looking nice without creating any non-planar polygons.
The scripted tutorial show you how to paint surface materials like concrete using Painter's captured brush and tiling brush stroke technology. The accompanying PDF tutorial explains the process in print and illustration. A custom "concrete" brush is included.Use the tutorials link in the menu frame. This new tutorial is topmost on the list.
First learn how to use Displacement Maps to create terrains and then learn how to bring your land to life by growing some grass on it using the SasLite plugin :)Good for anyone who doesn't know how to make grass in Lightwave or hasn't worked with Displacement Maps before :)
This is a really quick tutorial on how you can get some of the detail back into your model when using sub patches...
This is just an easy way to UV map parts of you LWO's to add detail to you models.
