Description
If you've been looking in on this gallery for a while, you know that Alex is usually seen with gold eyes and very long hair. He wasn't always like that; but most of the changes aren't very visible.
Sorrows, the god that lives in many bodies, of whom Alex became the avatar on his 22nd birthday, is not The Creator, or a god "of" anything ("God of the third firedog from the left," Alex says, nudging me), but a god with a a small g that belongs to a locale and is related to the people she looks after. And she is a flesh-shaper as well as healer and fertility god. Think Joseph Campbell style god.
Anyhow...Alex grew up with very near-sighted light brown eyes, and was a lot skinnier before he took up the sword (one third of the god, he and Dolores are the other 2/3). She bulked him up...and he found he could shape his flesh early on. At one point (Book Two) he fixes his eyes, so we don't see him with glasses anymore after that.
Well, I'm rewriting Book One, and so I wanted to do something with him as we'd see him in at the beginning of his junior year in college, in his home town of Palmers Rest, North Carolina, at home in their estate's library. Yep, an old-world fertility god lives in a small town outside of Raleigh. Who knew?
Production notes: My M4 Enhanced character with Raphael skin (I think?)from DAZ3d; Cyberpunk M4 pants with JM's free jeans texture for them; glasses from RDNA; DAZ's mage tower with some books and a rug stolen from a LukeA set. Hair and some color fiddling and framery done in post (Photoshop). Render in Poser Pro2010 using my own lights and IDL.

Well, I certainly hope that Alex felt he had to change anything on MY account! Gah, he's drool-worthy enough just like this!!!! Love the jeans and barefeet! Perhaps he could always keep the glasses around when he wants that scholarly look! Beautiful as always!!!

Oh, wow. Look at the Alex all youngified... Well presented, Doll! He's quite the looker before he beefed up too. XD Rawr is definitely a term I'd use here! Great reflection of the past in this one-thank you!
