Description
This was taken yesterday at my daughters home.
This is a Water Rail just sitting in the bush and very rare to see especially away from its habitat. It allowed me to shove the camera right in its face.
Apparently they can be quite tame and trusting.

Amazing shot Jeff!! I had to look this up and even more amazing that a wetland bird was there in a human habitat allowed you to get so close! Wonderful feather detail and detail of that amazing beak!

A perfect shot of this beautiful bird. Seems it came out of its... ehh.... what to call it... track? An had to rest before going on. I am glad you spotted it. :)

I see you found your daughter's stuffed water rail. Actually, I've never heard of this bird. A really crisp and detailed image. Outstanding work. Nice of it to pose so nicely for you.
