Description

This is for my friend Lori, also known as (scifibabe). She is a very close friend and one of the nicest people I've ever met. Lori does super work in Poser and Mixed Medium and her gallery is a must. My personal favorites are her paintings as she truly has a talent for bringing those images to life. Several times when I have been a bit sad Lori has made me feel better with her sense of humor and this is my humble way of saying thanks. Lori shared many great stories with me that I loved. This story stood out the most because it shows how people from different cultures can unite. Hope for smiles, Dave Unspoken Miracle (For scifibabe): Lori and her Mom would vacation each year to Huntington Beach South Carolina to enjoy the beaches. Late one day they were heading back to their camper and decided to go back through the beach. They saw something moving about in the sand but couldn't tell what it was. As they approached Lori was excited to see it was a large sea turtle thrashing about. A couple vacationing from France arrived and watched the turtle with them. Then a couple from Germany stopped to watch the turtle also. Suddenly the Momma turtle began laying her eggs and everyone witnessed this small miracle. It didn't matter that none of the people in his little group could understand each other. All that mattered was they shared in this unspoken miracle of birth, and for these few moments had something wonderful in common. After she finished the Momma turtle covered her eggs in the sand and went back into the water. She was able to bring people together without saying a word. P.S. Please be patient with me as I hurt my hand and it is hard to type so it will take me a while to thank everyone :)

There are certain thing that can bring different people together, despite certain barriers, such as language or culture. Something like this is a perfect example of that.

How did I miss this? This is wonderful, funny thing and you always somehow do this but my lesson for my First grader's science class was on sea turtles! Is this a coincidence? I just read the book Tiny that is about a sea turtles struggle through her life cycle and ends up back on the beach where she was born to lay her eggs. Great image Dave! I love it. BTW super dedi too!

Great image Dave. Just hope the girl didn't get as close as the image seems to imply. Major rule of Safety: Never get to close to a mother in delivery. She will bite your head off or anything she can reach..lol. Anyway, very cool concept and observation on how a bit of mother nature can bring folks together of diverse backgrounds. Bravo and best wishes from Dave :^)

A very touching image and story Dave. There is a universal language that we humans understand but speak so rarely. It is heard often in our hearts but seldom from our lips. It's so prevalent in our prayers but often lacking in our deeds. The sound is soft and comforting if we would only listen. Don

this is great, animals and children do have a way of bringing people together. once again your scene is wonderfully done. I love the poses of the people, especially the man squatting down... that's exactly what a guy that age would do! :) the little girl is cute and her mom protecting her is realistic, too. I really like the fact that the people are touching; reaching out to someone they love as the circle of life spreads out in front of them. nice work, Dave, this scene is sweet and touching.

The summer/beach scene is an interesting contrast with the actual season. The magical emotion given by the turtles born is successful. Remarkable piece of life moment. Nicely colorized and rendered. Deeply enjoyable.

I'm a little bit disconcerted David, a/. because you have hurt your hand, and b/. because I have not received an ebot for your posting, which is just a little annoying. I came upon your attractive posting, purely by chance. You have created this scene from a happy vacation admirably. Beautifully set up. Well done Sir! Steve :o)
