For Mark, just to say thank you. This took days to create.
This is a sad attempt to visualize Mark's crazy-fun and absolutely wonderful storytelling.
I did not do his writing justice but I did want to say thanks. I'll leave it up to all of you to analyze it. :)

oh man, this is anything but a "sad attempt"---it's a packed, wild vision, with monks and sages and (I think) the snake from the garden of eden, and a mythic water carrier, a philosopher (aristotle?) and a contemplating woman , and a lantern (w/ the monk), a strange new creature crossing the river...and an apocalyptic revelation coming from the sky, not to mention a cosmos made of honey and lava and gold and yellows (and a great dark-red burst around the sun)---the sky's almost like a grand altar piece---european or asian---carved in gold and rubies, and pouring down over this Eden-like place. Even the trees are 'beginning-of-days' stuff. (What have you been putting in your coffee recently??? I thought MY visions were wild!) I'm extremely grateful, Barb, and that you spent days doing it---your effort is very visible. (You even have butterflies around the lantern, and an eagle in that light-breaking-through sky.) Terrific, thank you so much! If I tried to make a tale based on this, I'd be writing for weeks! Thank you Barb, this is lush and wonderful, and I appreciate it greatly. (To the ancient Hindus, btw, this would be called "an average thursday"...) It's wonderful!

looks good to me, even with no knowledge of what it takes to put something like this together... where are tutorials?

This is wonderful...yes, I can see how something like this would take lots of time...love the colors and how the blues and reds bleed into each other...all the characters and flora are very interesting and combine to tell a special tale...

This is truly an amazing work of art. The glimpse into human history seems to be displayed.

Looks like an emergency meeting in the garden of Eden as the dark tendrels of the world draw near...
