The Spectacles, Arches National Park, Utah, USA. This area got its name from two stone arches. The larger one, on the left, is called the North Window, with the slightly smaller one, on the right, being called the South Window. When viewed together, however, they become the Spectacles. You can see in this posting how there seems to be a pair of glasses in the rock - some claim that you can even see a person's nose, if you look.
You used to be able to walk through the north arch and obtain an incredible viewpoint of the Turret Arch viewed through the North Window. However, due to the amount of foot traffic in the area, the park service has marked this area as off limits. If you go, please respect the signs. Some data from the moments of light web site.
For perspective there are people in the north (left) window and a single hiker (red jacket) in front of the south (right) window. Because of the windows phrase being used in describing this formation, some people call this The Windows Arches.

Amazing! It does look like glasses hanging off a pig-type nose. Can't you just imagine fishes swimming through those windows back when water created this. Beautiful scene and picture. I've never been out west so I love seeing these so much. Thanks.

Not only a spectacles arch, but possibly a Lone Ranger mask also. Thank you for this spectacular series, Dana, especially in light of the fact that, unlike MrsRatbag, I'm too old now to ever visit that area.
