Description

Daz 4.12 Iray. Photoshop CS6 For lack of a better title I guess? Just something I slapped together yesterday, still figuring what works and what doesn't. It looks like this is only a temporary fix. The external drive I have my content on is throwing fits, so soon I'll have to do this all over again on a different drive from ... somewhere. What I really need is a new, better potato, but that's slightly out of my reach at the moment. Whups, Story pooped into me noggin. Here it is! Le Image. That's Nina, otherwise known as Nina The Inspector. Nina is an inspector from the Environmental Dept. Of Terraforming, and not one of the Local 242 boys. The boys all like Lady Red Legs even though she's Gub-Mint. When Old Fester bashed a dent in his shin, she hauled him off to the doc. If a plant needs something she's the one to sweet talk. The local Crocamonster lets her pet it's tummy. She calls it Cortéz. The world of Nāmaka is the 5th planet out from GJ 667 C, a red dwarf in a triple system. Nāmaka is one of three worlds being terraformed and is farthest along in the process, thanks to thriving algae's, plankton and sea life. Seasons at the Harpist Sound Atmospheric Processing Station #6 can best be described as, Very Damp, Wet, Still Wet, and Damp with Crabs. Crab repellent linen was invented here out of necessity. As of last Wednesday, there were 56 different local varieties of crab cakes; 14 of them are liberally bathed in Algahol. Algahol is another local invention, and yes, it's fermented algae. The local favourite is apple flavored. Coming up a close second is 'Jack Pat's Not Crab Flavored Whuskey'. Back in '37 during the war, Harpist Sound was invaded for a lengthy 30 minutes, until the invading drop ships sank, and the invasion force had to be rescued from The Bay of No Hope. As the No Hoper's often like to say "havin an invasion is no excuse for bein' a idjit." Kharsha and the 7th Marines were here to pick up the sodden POW's and take them to a nice dry prison camp. It's likely where Kharsha, ever on the lookout for handy expressions, discovered 'Idjit'. She also discovered algahol, and took that recipe with her, and later brought it to later to her company ship, The Endurance. (Algae can be bred for food, oxygen, and alcohol, as well as for plastics). While Endurance Spacer's Ale isn't the best stuff going, it's drinkable. Like all ships beverages it is not carbonated so your stomach doesn't explode in zero g. Santo-Jacobo has the diner, called The Blue Diamond (part of the theatre complex), the One Eyed Jack Pub (The drinks will cost you, but the fights are free! :D) and the Risky Lady ferry to St. Johns Island. Nina's boyfriend Nick is a 'Janny Bai who went to war with the Grey Scouts. He came back with a limp at wars official end in '41, and Nina took him home with her. Strangely enough, Nina has never been on a boat, and never wants to go on one. Have a good midweek folks, and really keep the fork away from each other out there while Ol' Covy stalks the streets. Shoutout to Chasfh who's product is out, 'Grats!

Sensational work. I feel your pain on being held captive by aging hardware. When I finally did get my Potato upgraded I would wake up in the night with this shudder that it wouldn't boot in the morning and I would be right back where I was at before. Yikes, I need some serious intervention here. Well I gotta say you do damned good work with a machine that is limping. A great backstory. I feel like saying. Yeah I remember those days.

It's based on all over. Bit's of Gulf Coast, Chilean coastline, but a lot from the North Atlantic. I know a couple of few Newfoundlanders, and we have the big arsed Hudson and James Bay. So for some reason, that all just popped out. I think it's because that one wee patch of sky at the top right came out looking like absolute slop, and my brain grabbed it on a pass and went a running. Natch I had to put a maritime music playlist up on yoo toobs while I wrote it.

One Eyed Jack Pub, such fond memories with some young dragon friends, lol. A good battery backup is almost a must for anyone with a desktop pc. It will be your best friend if the power goes out, a lesson I learned the hard way... :(

Cool image and a nice touch with her screens! I'd like to play around on her computer, looks like a nerd's dream... 🌟

Did you have your corn flakes this morning, snicker... ;)

"slapped together"? I wish when I slapped things together they came out half as good!

No matter where mankind goes there will be people who work out how to make booze. And people who drink too much of it, and people who make it better than most. Somehow you always weave a story around it that has nice elements of believable detail. Keep going!

Yeah, exploding stomachs in 0-G are rather uncomfortable, not to mention messy as hell.....

Your "gub-mint" inspector here looks great, and I'm sure she does a very thorough job. Of inspecting, I mean... 😉 And Kharsha really needs to come party with the TNA Gals again - they still smile 'that' smile when they think about the last time. And she could help out with our current 'idjit' problem. We have quite the surplus of them ATM.

Great job on this, Shawn - that old potato seems to be holding its own for the moment. Hope it hangs in there for ya.
