Haven't posted in a while so I thought that I should upload one of my lastest pieces.

OH HOW I LOVE THIS SCENE. I WISH I HAD THIS PROGRAM. I NEED SCENES FOR MY ANGELS. HOW IS THE MAYA PROGRAM. HARD TO LEARN? EXPENSIVE FOR ALL THE MATERIALS TO PUT TOGETHER?

Ahhh beautiful textures and the plant on the walls is very realistic. Also the lights are perfect. Is that plant a paint effect???

Thanks for the comments!! I have been using Maya for about 2 years now. I switched to XSI for a few months, but had to come back!! The plants were done using a really cool program - the Ivy Generator. Here is the link to their site: http://graphics.uni-konstanz.de/~luft/ivy_generator/ The entire scene is made up of polygon models. Thanks again, Blas

blasingraham, Gorgeous scene! I really love the way the light plays off the vines and the walls. Wonderful texturing as well as modeling! LENK911, I am currently learning Maya. It is expensive, but you can get it for student pricing if you buy tutorials through certain sites. I'd say it's as difficult as any 3D program. It is very deep. Google Gnomon Workshop and Digital-Tutors for great tutorials.
